As an earth sign, my material instincts and desire for things I can see and touch soar. Hunting and gathering objects and ephemera has been a passion since I can remember. As a kid growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I was free to run wild endlessly on the beaches and forests, where I built hideaway spots out of driftwood and made necklaces out of shells.
I have a natural obsession with objects-from the tiny folk art clay horse, to the gold-drenched silk ball gown. Salvaging a broken piece of cast-off marble slab in a dusty alleyway is a way of life for me. I'm a collector, a reclamation maven and rabid design enthusiast. I never tire of the feeling I get when discovering a genius emerging designer or when I've hit the jackpot at a seventy-five cent sale on vintage natural fiber textiles.
